TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GLOBAL BLUE ‘SHOP LIKE A TOURIST AT HOME’ PROMOTION
14 January 2022 - 14 February 2022


Definitions

1.          For the purpose of these terms and conditions, including any amendments thereto (the “T&Cs”), the following words shall have the following meaning:

Eligible Good means a good which is above S$100 (including GST) in value.

Global Blue means Global Blue Singapore Pte. Ltd. (Company Registration Number: 199609046H) a company incorporated in Singapore.

Global Blue Member means a person residing in Singapore who has successfully registered as a Global Blue member via the Global Blue website or the Global Blue App and holds a current sixteen (16) digit Global Blue membership number.

GST means goods and services tax as defined in the Singapore Goods and Services Tax Act.

GST Amount means the amount of the GST that has been paid by the Global Blue Member to the Merchant in relation to a Transaction.

GST Rebate means a percentage of the GST Amount, depending on the Merchant, that will be refunded back to the Verified Global Blue Member, which rebate amount per Merchant is available on the Global Blue website at https://refund.globalblue.com/web/faces/public/exo/singapore_shop_like_a_tourist_at_home_2022_LP.

Merchant means a Singapore based merchant that is participating in the Promotion under an agreement with Global Blue.

Prizes mean:

(a)         Weekly Prizes – (i) the top 40 weekly Verified Global Blue Members, in terms of total spend as part of the Promotion, to win a pair of S.E.A. Aquarium Adult One-Day Tickets with a minimum spend of S$400 and a maximum spend S$799.99 (multiple transactions allowed); and (ii) the top 40 weekly Verified Global Blue Members, in terms of total spend as part of the Promotion, to win a pair of Universal Studios Singapore Adult One-Day Tickets with a minimum spend of S$800 (multiple transactions allowed); and

(b)         Grand Prize – the top 3 Verified Global Blue Members, in terms of total spend over the Promotion Period to win a 3D2N Stay & Dine Package at Resorts World™ Sentosa with a minimum spend of S$6,000 (multiple transactions allowed).

Promotion means the ‘Shop Like a Tourist at Home’ promotion as described in these T&Cs.

Promotion Period means the period from 14 January 2022 to 14 February 2022, both dates inclusive.

Transaction means the purchase of an Eligible Good by a Global Blue Member in the Merchant’s store during the Promotion Period.

Transaction Value means the purchase price of the Eligible Good, excluding the GST Amount, that has been paid by the Global Blue Member in the Merchant’s store during the Promotion Period.

Verified Global Blue Member means a Global Blue Member who: (a) has undertaken a Transaction and has been verified by Global Blue as a current registered Global Blue Member; (b) is eligible to participate in the Promotion; and (c) has in all other respects complied with the terms and conditions of the Promotion.

Verified Rebate Amount means the GST Rebate which has been verified by Global Blue that will be refunded back to the Verified Global Blue Member.

Verified Transaction means a Transaction that Global Blue has verified, and reconciled with the Merchant’s record of the Promotion transaction, and meets and complies with these T&Cs.

Promotion

2.          Global Blue shall organise and conduct the Promotion in Singapore during the Promotion Period.

3.          The Promotion shall enable participating Global Blue Members to:

(a)         receive the GST Rebate on Eligible Goods purchased in participating Merchant stores in Singapore; and

(b)         subject to clauses 12 to 14, be eligible for the Prizes,

subject to the participating Global Blue Member complying with these T&Cs.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

4.          By participating in the Promotion, the Global Blue Member confirms that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

5.          Global Blue reserves the right to amend the T&Cs from time to time, and modify, cancel or suspend the Promotion at its sole discretion at any time. Notice of any such amendments, cancellations or suspensions will be posted on the Global Blue website.

Eligibility

6.          The Promotion is open to persons who:

(a)        are Global Blue Members residing in Singapore;

(b)       are above 18 years of age;

(c)        are not employees, agents or contractors of Global Blue or any participating Merchant or the immediate family members of such employees, agents or contractors; and

(d)       in the case of the Prizes, have paid for the Eligible Goods using a valid Mastercard® Credit/Debit/Prepaid card.

Claiming a Rebate of the GST Paid on Eligible Goods

7.          During the Promotion Period, a purchase of an Eligible Good(s) by a Global Blue Member shall entitle the Global Blue Member to receive the GST Rebate subject to the Global Blue Member’s compliance with these T&Cs.

8.          There shall be no limit on the number of Eligible Goods that may be purchased by the Global Blue Member during the Promotion Period.

9.          At the time of the purchase by the Global Blue Member, the Merchant shall capture the necessary details to submit to Global Blue.

Verification of the Transaction and the Global Blue Member

10.       Following the purchase of the Eligible Goods and the submission of the purchase details by the Merchant, Global Blue shall:

(a)            verify the Global Blue Member meets the requirements to be a ‘Verified Global Blue Member’ following which the Global Blue Member shall be deemed to be a Verified Global Blue Member;

(b)            verify the Transaction meets the requirements to be a ‘Verified Transaction’ following which the Transaction shall be deemed to be a Verified Transaction; and

(c)             verify the GST Amount that has been paid by the Verified Global Blue Member as part of the Verified Transaction and determine the GST Rebate which shall be deemed the Verified Rebate Amount.

Payment of the Verified Rebate Amount

11.       Global Blue shall within fifteen (15) business days of the verification being completed (including obtaining e-mail approval from the applicable Merchant) process the payment of the Verified Rebate Amount to the Verified Global Blue Member to the nominated rebate target of the Verified Global Blue Member. The timing of the payment will be subject to the clearing, processing and settlement timing of the Global Blue Member’s card scheme and issuing bank.

Prizes

12.       In partnership with Mastercard®, Verified Global Blue Members who have paid for the Eligible Goods using a valid Mastercard® Credit/Debit/Prepaid cards shall, in addition to the GST Rebate, shall also be eligible for the Prizes. All other forms of payment for the Eligible Goods i.e. Cash or non-Mastercard® cards, shall not be eligible for the Prizes.

13.       The Prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The Prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and Global Blue reserve the right to substitute any Prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

14.       All winners of the Prizes will be announced on the Global Blue website at https://refund.globalblue.com/web/faces/public/exo/singapore_shop_like_a_tourist_at_home_2022_LP in April 2022. All winners of the Prizes shall also be notified by Global Blue. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Global Blue reserve the right to withdraw the Prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

Other Terms and Conditions

15.       Eligible Goods purchased as part of the Promotion will not be eligible for return or exchange unless the purchased Eligible Good is faulty or defective in some way. Eligible Goods purchased as part of the Promotion will not be eligible for GST under the Tourist Refund Scheme of Singapore.

16.       Global Blue reserves the right to disqualify any Global Blue Member’s eligibility to receive the benefit of the Promotion if the Global Blue Member has not complied with the T&Cs in the sole and absolute opinion of Global Blue.

17.       All decisions by Global Blue relating to the Promotion are final. Global Blue is not obliged to provide reasons concerning why a Global Blue Member was not verified as a Verified Global Blue Member or why a Transaction was not verified as a Verified Transaction or to entertain any appeals whatsoever.

18.       The rebate of the Verified Rebate Amount to the nominated rebate target of the Verified Global Blue Member is non-negotiable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Unless otherwise stated, the Verified Global Member is solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees as well as all additional costs that may be incurred in relation to participation in the Promotion and the receipt of the Verified Rebate Amount.

19.       Global Blue makes no warranties, representations or guarantees either expressed or implied regarding the Promotion, including but not limited to any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

20.       Global Blue reserves the right to disqualify any Global Blue Member’s participation in the Promotion, forfeit and/or reclaim any paid Verified Rebate Amount or Prize at any time if Global Blue deems there has been a breach of the T&Cs by the Verified Global Blue Member, whether discovered during or after the Promotion Period.

21.       Global Blue may in its sole and absolute discretion substitute or make any changes to the Promotion and the T&Cs at any time without prior notice. Global Blue is not obliged to provide reasons and shall not be liable for any payment or compensation to any person due to such changes.

Liability and Indemnity

22.       To the fullest extent permissible under law, Global Blue shall not be liable for any loss, damage, liability, injury or costs and expenses relating to any person’s participation in the Promotion, including but not limited to any change to the T&Cs, disqualification of a Global Blue Member to participate in the Promotion and any delay, cancellation, failure or omission on Global Blue’s part to carry out the Promotion or for the delay or failure of any card scheme, payment processor or issuing bank to process the rebate of the Verified Rebate Amount whether due to force majeure events or otherwise.

23.       The participating Global Blue Member agrees to indemnify Global Blue and hold Global Blue harmless from and against all liabilities, losses, damages, proceedings, suits, actions, claims and demands, costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) and expenses whatsoever suffered or incurred by Global Blue relating to or arising from or in connection with any breach of the T&Cs by the participating Global Blue Member.

Personal Information

24.       The participating Global Blue Member agrees that Global Blue and the participating Merchant may collect, use and disclose your personal data (including your name, e-mail address, telephone number, address and Transaction data) as provided to Global Blue and/or the participating Merchant for (a) the purposes of administering the Promotion and in relation to your participation in the same, (b) promotional, marketing and publicity purposes relating to the Promotion and Global Blue generally, (c) for Global Blue’ conduct of research, analysis and development activities (including data analytics, surveys and/or profiling) to enhance Global Blue’s programme offerings and operations, and (d) for Global Blue’s and the participating Merchant’s reference and archival purposes.

25.       If necessary, Global Blue may share the participating Global Blue Member’s personal data and the Transaction data with other Government agencies (or non-Government entities which have been authorised to carry out specific services by Global Blue such as banks, payment processors, card schemes and other Global Blue related entities (including Global Blue related entities located outside of Singapore)) in order to serve the participating Global Blue Member in the most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

26.       These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore for every purpose and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
